About Katniss
Rescued in 2016, she has shown great resilience. A mild neurological condition affecting her hind limbs makes her unsuitable for ridden work, so she is rehomed as a non-ridden companion in a quiet environment. Lives out 24/7, does well on grazing and holds her weight. Wears a rug in winter and gets on with both mares and geldings; a good 'nanny' to youngsters. Can be highly strung in busy surroundings and trickier to handle on her hind legs, so needs a confident, competent 1:1 handler willing to build trust. Must never be left without equine company.
